The Perfect Marble Cake

Marble cakes are perfect as a snack, as a dessert, as something immediate for a sweet tooth, or sometimes as a full sweet meal.

In a deep bowl, whisk 1 cup of sugar and 3 eggs. Add in half a tablespoon of vanilla extract, 1/4 cup of milk and 1/3 cup of vegetable or canola oil. Instead of oil, if you are using butter at room temperature, mix butter and sugar first, then add eggs, milk and vanilla extract. Once you feel that all these ingredients have mixed well, slowly incorporate 1 cup of shifted all-purpose flour and fold the flour into the batter.

Have your oven preheated to 350F or about 170C. Grease a loaf pan and pour in the cake mix. Bake for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. In the end you can also set your oven to broil at low, or at 100C for just 2 minutes or so, for the nice dark  brown layer at the top of the cake as well. And its honestly this easy.

Enjoy a slice of marble cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some chocolate syrup..!!!! That’s a piece of heaven for you..!!!!!
