Every year starting from fall (in most ‘cold’ countries), starts a variety of apple recipes. And if you are an apple enthusiast as I am, you sure are waiting for the beautiful season.! Apple cake, apple pie, apple danish, apple cupcake, apple loaf, apple cookies and what not…!!!! Especially coffee shops, don’t they love to experiment. But sticking to the classics, and this is my take on Apple Fritters.
A simple dish, with simple ingredients but with great taste.!
This is a mixture of
- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder or nutmeg, your personal choice.
- A pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- If you love vanilla essence, a good splash of it.
In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients and give it a good mix. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix milk and vanilla essence, Now slowly mix the two to get a nice thick batter consistency.
Now, have the apples peeled and diced. Also have oil hot and ready for deep frying.
Add the apples to the batter and mix it well, and drop it in the oil and let it cook till they are beautiful and golden brown.
Dust some confectioners sugar on them and they are ready for serving..!!!!
