You will need
- 1 cup of chick pea flour (besan)
- 1 cup of all purpose flour (maida)
- 3 tbsp rice flour
- A pinch of salt
- 2-2 green chillies finely chopped
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 2 small carrots grated
- A small bunch of coriander chopped
- A pinch of turmeric
- A tsp of cumin seeds
- A cup of water for kneeding
Get all these ingredients (1-10) in a deep bowl and mix well. Now add water little by little and kneed it to a soft dough. Take a small lump of the dough and by either using the chapati/roti/tortilla press or with a rolling pin, roll them to a thin tortilla. Make sure you maintain a certain thickness to all your rotis.
Have a flat pan heated by now to make your rotis. You will also need some oil to grease the pan. On low -medium flame, place each roti on the flat pan and cook it until the ends are beautiful golden brown. Make sure to also flip the roti for even cooking.
Tip: Please use a greased plastic sheet under and over the lump of dough before you roll them.
